BOOTCAMP & GRADUATION | Tips from a Military Spouse 3

I haven't gone through. That homecoming yet so maybe that'll beat. It but graduation. It is wild um. I have so many emotions going into. This it was so exciting they made. It they made. It through this hard time and they're happy and you're happy and it's just a really freaking happy day so um during graduation the key is just to remain calm. You know you're gonna be in a new environment and you are gonna be on base so whoever you are with make sure. That they have their IDs make sure. That they are on the guest list. You receive the form letter make sure. That the guest list looks right and that's who is invited.

Because if they are not on the guest list. They will not be allowed and if they are not on the guest list. They can go sit I'm pretty sure it's a different building and then. They can watch the graduation but they won't actually be in the auditorium with. You so that's something to consider. Some any one extra wants to come.

I personally then do. That we just kind of brought who was on the guest list and it made. It honestly a lot easier and make sure. That you brought. That parking pass. That you got from the forum letter and so. You get to graduation there's gonna be bleachers and blah blah so. I want to talk to you about what to wear is it all comes down to personal preference but I want to give. You guys my experience. I am NOT a high heels girl whatsoever. I am a flat vans kind of woman I'm never gonna wear heels in my life and if. I never wear heels on my wedding so. That tells you something I personally would not wear heels you're gonna be on bleachers.

You want to dress casual but form at the same time. Everything people were wearing sweats people were in jeans. Someone was wearing a really tight black dress with heels. It all and let. Me just tell. You the girl in heels. She was struggling she was struggling up those bleachers. You know to. Each their own. You want to do. That you are gonna be sitting and you are gonna be standing and you are gonna be walking and I just. I wouldn't do. It that's just. Me know you actually pick out your outfit. This is a super exciting time. You can join the US Navy's spouses and girlfriends page or wives and girlfriends page. Something like. I think that's what it's called and you can ask them what you should wear. They have great tips on their that's what I ended up doing they're on Facebook. You want to join. That group and then.

You know just kind of go with your gut. What do you want to wear. What do you think your husband's gonna like. What are you gonna like. You know most importantly so anyways moving on so the graduation last pretty long. I think the ceremony lasted about three or four don't quote. Me on that you can watch graduation videos on YouTube it's pretty like lengthy but they're gonna call your spouse's division and you're gonna stand up take pictures it's gonna be great and then. You wait they stare at you for like an hour and you're just. They walk around stand there line up. They can't look at you they're not allowed to make eye contact. They just stare into space and you're just sitting there staring at them for an hour. That was the hardest part. That was harder the bootcamp. That was harder. Anything because.

All you want to do is just run and just attack them but you can't. Because that would just be embarrassing so don't do. That so you're gonna go through. You know ceremony bah bah bah and then they're gonna call liberty and growth run we're going to go man run to you a minute and give him a kiss. Because that is the best and five. Someone take pictures. I had my sister-in-law take pictures and I will try to attach them but I love looking back on those pictures. I was so happy. That day it's gonna be.

One of the best days of your life so anyways you're gonna be able to have. Some time with them. They call Liberty. You can take them anywhere. You have to save with. It I want to say 50 miles don't call. Me on that but what you can do is take them out to eat. You can go you can really. You just have a long time with them you know and also. Something that I wanted to talk to you guys about is make sure. That you communicate with the people.

That you're with. That you want a long time but this was. Something that I had to communicate with my husband. I felt like. It was very important for us and you know. You haven't been with them for two months. You won a long time not just for that but you want to sit down and talk to them and see kind of where they're at and you know how they're feeling I mean it's a whole. Another story. You two are alone so make sure. You get some time for that so. They are gonna have a curfew so you'll just drive them back to the base they'll go sleep there and one thing is if they are not staying there for a school which they will tell. If they are.

You want to basically keep their phone they're not allowed to have. It on face some people sneak. It on but we did not want to risk. That so let's talk about the airport. If your spouse is a school is not in Chicago. They are going to fly out obviously. You go there it's usually the next day sometimes people get lucky and it's that Sunday but usually it's that Saturday and so. What you want to do is want to communicate with them and say hey um. You need to call.

You get to the airport so. When to come up there like. You are ba ba ba so make sure. They know your number by heart and all of that so. You can wait with them at the airport and then they're off to a school and then next. You know what you guys do from there is kind of in the arms of the Navy. They could get orders at a school. They could get orders during bootcamp and you could already know but um. You know you guys will get through. This and just know that it is temporary and you will look back on it and you will smile. Because it's one of the most amazing experiences and it makes. You stronger as a couple but anyway guys. You like this kind of content make sure to subscribe below and like. This video thank you so much.

BOOTCAMP & GRADUATION | Tips from a Military Spouse 2

I have anxiety like really bad so. I booked the Navy Lodge for both Fridays and let. Me tell you it was the best decision. I ever made so. When your spouse goes to boot camp. You will receive a box of items in about three days give or take. I think I received mine three or five days. I believe when receive. That box please don't wash the clothes please don't wash them you're gonna regret. It I know they might smell. They might be dingy. You miss him the best thing in the world is smelling his clothes and I don't.

Even care that sounds great. Because I do not care anyways moving on so after. You the box then there's kind of like a stagnant period you're just kind of like. You will not hear from him for a few weeks girl. I ended up hearing from him I want to say the second and a half week a few weeks. You might get a phone call but what you will get is what they call a forum letter you'll probably get. That between two or three weeks and this thing is your Bible the forum letter consists of the guest list. That your spouse wants to bring to their graduation their address so. You can send them letters which is like so important and then. It contains a website.

That you can go to to where. You can print out the parking pass to get on space for graduation. What I would recommend before. You get this foreign letter is joining the PIR groups on Facebook so PI R stands for pass and review a lot of the sailors don't know. It as PIR they kind of just know. It as graduation which is what it is but you're gonna kind of refer to it as PIR I'll link. It on the screen but you're gonna put a PIR. You know month/day/year ba ba ba. You want to join those and I say. Because it's very beneficial not only are. You gonna kind of be in the loop of everything you're gonna meet people. One of my best friends from.

That group those people are gonna be who you rely on and who you kind of lean on through. This having someone along with family is always a good idea moving on I'm gonna kind of go into the writing letters process. What you want to do and what I did. I mean maybe. You don't want to do. It but it's really up to you to. Each their own. I started writing letters as soon as. I got home from dropping my husband off. I was obsessed with writing letters. I will fully admit. That I was extra. I wrote probably 75 letters and I don't know like. Everyone that knew my husband as the guy who had the most letters. You know what depending on the branch maybe they'll get embarrassed. I do not care my husband didn't care.

He was so happy to get my letters. He will tell. You to this day. That it was the only thing getting him by. You want to do. It then do you don't then don't it's really. What you want to do. I probably wrote. One or two a day. I included pictures and then as far as pictures don't send. Any news for the love of God please don't. You you will get your husband in trouble. You want to sneak in like okay. I was kind of like sneaky and I have. This picture of me I'll try to attach. It to the thing but basically. Me looking at a mountain in Colorado and you can it's like. You can see my back and you know so I'm not naked. I have clothes on but I just kind of knew. That my husband would be like does. That make sense like okay moving on so.

You want to do. Something like. That to where it's not like really provocative just do not send nudes so I'll be moving on um. I think that's sorry. I have like a little thing so. I don't miss. Anything there's there's so much and I wish hey random but when. I was going through so. I wish there was. More videos on not just boot camp but like for spouses and what to expect and how to do. Everything I feel like there's not a lot of videos on YouTube and it's kind of frustrating so anyways moving on oh and I also forgot to tell.

You guys that there is an awesome app. That you guys can use it's called sandbox. I never personally used. It during boot camp but I have used. It for an appointment and I really like. It you can write. I think it's 3000 words and you can attach. One photo you could attach. More but you know. You kind of got to work with. What you got so. That is always awesome. I believe the first. One is free. I think the next ones are like $1 to $4. I can't remember so don't quote. Me on that so moving on to graduation so graduation was probably. One of the most exciting experiences of my life to this day. I personally don't think. Any homecoming is beat. It so far we're currently going through a deployment right now so.

BOOTCAMP & GRADUATION | Tips from a Military Spouse 1

Hey guys welcome to my channel absque ribe down below and like. This video so subscribe down below and like. This video you want to see. More content like. This so let's get started. You are a spouse or a significant other of someone joining the Navy in this video is for you I understand. How stressful. It must be because I've been there. You don't know. Where to start so keep watching this video and I'll give. You some tips on what to do next so. They join the Navy they'll take the ASVAB depending on their score kind of correlates with. What job they're going to get so my husband ended up choosing yeoman it's basically. What he calls in office bitch sorry. That offends. Anyone but he works in an office.

All day so he has to like poke fun somewhere after. They take the ASVAB. They will either go through the delayed Entry Program which is called depth or they'll go straight to maps so I'm going to talk a little bit about deaf so the delayed Entry Program is basically just used to where in and you kind of just wait to go to basic my husband swore in on June 2016. I want to say. It then he actually went to boot camp in February of 2017 so. He was in almost a year so yeah that's always an option. I think it depends on their rate and kind of what the Navy needs but anyways moving on after Deb they'll go to más usually the next day. They leave for boot camp so anyways. But after camp they will make resume and find a job. I reccomend them to use examples of resume from this site - https://finditcareer.com/.

You get it watch them swear in and it's really cool. I actually have a video of my husband swearing in I'll see. I can add that to this video after.

That um they spend the night in a hotel and I was lucky enough to actually get a separate hotel next to my husband. Because I'm an extra and they're the recruiters actually like preferred. It they're like yeah that's good from around like okay well I'm gonna do. It anyway so the sad thing is we couldn't stay with. Each other that night but we got to spend. You know a certain amount of time together and then. He had to go check in at the hotel so. That was always nice hold on the morning of boot camp Nick that's my husband. He you know went to the airport and we just said our goodbyes. It was a really hard experience.

Because you know. When you're gonna see them the next time. You have like a general idea which is what we'll talk about in a second but I do understand. That it can be very scary but just know. It will not last forever. It is temporary just trust. You get through. This phase you will look back on it and be like holy crap. I didn't think. I was gonna make. It but you did so ok moving on when. He gets to boot camp. You don't really know. When he's gonna call a lot of people say different things don't get your hopes up. That is my one thing if. Someone says. They got a call from their husband Oh everyone's gonna call. I not getting a call do not think like.

That figurines not. Even just boot camp but your entire wife spouse significant other experience just do not think about that everyone is different and what they go through and what timeframe. They have is different okay moving on sorry brain. They go to boot camp say. They go on a Wednesday. You are going to count eight to nine Friday's from. That Friday so like say it's Wednesday the second so you're gonna count from Friday at the fourth gonna count eight and nine Fridays so for those two Friday's that you have the eighth and the ninth week booked a hotel at the Navy Lodge. I cannot stress. This enough for some reason. I don't even think. Anyone told. Me to do this I just kind of knew in my head the Navy Lodge is gonna be booked oh my god cuz.

Military spouses ACTUALLY DO THIS! Petty, entitled females

Everybody knows about your typical lieutenant right your typical officer. I just got out of OCS basically just walks down walks down the sidewalk like. This those damn hand glued just waiting for a salute it's like. What the fuck you're not gonna loot. Me you know just salute. Me what the fuck's my salute. What don't sue corporal no Slough you're walking and talking on your cellphone. We all know that we all know those guys and as annoying as. They are they're easy to deal with and it's not. That really. That big of a deal. They they worked hard for their rank and they just.

They want the respect. They feel they deserve. You will respect. Me but we all know those types the lieutenant's mainly the second lieutenants the butter bars and then the first lieutenants and captains but the ones who care about it the most are the second lieutenants. You don't salute them it's you might as well have just killed their fucking dog cuz they're gonna get pissed. You will respect. Me like I'm pretty sure. If they were to ever salute themselves in the mirror they'd probably kill themselves. If the reflection didn't salute back my wife told. Me something the other day. I didn't know and I've never heard about it before there's military spouses of officers so like. Someone who's married to an officer mainly females do. This it's mainly women. That do this they did.

This kind of thing and it completely took. Me off guard and she told. Me about it and it just so apparently there's there's women out there. That are married to an officer. That somehow someway feel. That they are also entitled to a salute and that that is the root of the problem entitlements right so my wife was telling me there's there's women. That go to the gate like the front gate or whatever installation you're at they go through the gate right and give their ID and apparently there's some women. That will get pissed with. Whatever guard is at that gate don't get pissed and say well you're not gonna salute. Me what salute. You who gives a fuck about you you're not an officer you're just married to one oh so. You automatically assume. That someone has to render.

You a fucking salute just. Because you're married to an officer let. Me be clear. You were entitled to nothing how fucking stupid are. You what one. How super you two. How fuckin petty are. You you want a salute for what for what for fucking nothing you don't know a goddamn salute. You haven't done. Anything I've never gone through a deployment but I know what it's like. I watch our lives the only thing you've done is be. Nothing more. Than a glorified fucking cheerleader every goddamn parade holding up your sign. We support our champs yeah welcome home baby but like her fucking cheerleader ain't. Nobody got fuckin salute. You wait wait yeah. You think that you think. That Steph curves wife is gonna go on fucking stage demand a MVP trophy just.

Because she's married to him no. She wasn't in the goddamn gym. She didn't win two titles in a row. She had to bust her ass against LeBron James. She don't deserve shit except for money. If they get divorced that's about it but trophies respect a salute fuck. You look fuck do. You think you are stupid ass bitches that's just just crazy to me you are entitled -. Nothing that shit is earned. You have to earn. That dishes just not given to you by association get out of here a little fucking world stupid-ass bitches man she's crazy goddamn.
